Employers with high-volume, entry-level positions often face a major problem: high turnover. This results in significant time and resource costs to recruit, onboard, and retain employees for these positions in order to ensure that critical organizational operations continue. In environments where these entry-level roles require few specialized skills, implementing complex skills-based assessments—or skipping assessments altogether—is unlikely to deliver a strong return on investment. Instead, organizations are better served by focusing on candidates’ experiences and personal attributes that align with the qualities of employees who tend to stay and succeed.
