Over the past year we have seen an increased call for companies to go beyond public statements and release diversity data, including EEO-1 report data, as a means of accountability. In particular, the recent social justice movements occurring across the United States have put many organizations’ Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) efforts under scrutiny. Information including employee demographics and diversity metrics, that was traditionally kept internal or reserved for Board updates, are being publicly disclosed through corporate responsibility reports and other means.
